Los Angeles Superior Court Awards $3.9 million in Attorneys' Fees in Pinter-Brown v. UC Regents

On 12/20/24, the Los Angeles County Superior Court awarded $3.9 million in attorneys' fees to Shegerian & Associates in attorneys' fees in the case of Pinter-Brown v. UC Regents.  However, the defense attorneys have filed a notice of appeal. The plaintiff, Dr. Pinter-Brown had previously been awarded $14 million by a jury verdict in May 2024. This followed a similarly large jury verdict at trial in 2018, which was reversed and remanded by the California Court of Appeals.
