DWC Announces 15 Day Public Comment Period for Utilization Review Regulations

On 2/27/25, the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) announced 15-day notice of modification (through March 14, 2025) to the text of the proposed utilization review and related regulations, the text of the modified regulations, and the modified forms can be found on DWC’s rulemaking page. The DWC previously held a public hearing on July 25, 2024, and received public comments on proposed amendments to the regulations and related forms. DWC had considered comments received in the public comment period and made modifications to the proposal based on those comments.

 On 1/7/25, the National Labor Relations Board instituted an "Inclusive Writing Guide" for NLRB employees  to follow internally and externally, as part of the NLRB's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Program. In the "Inclusive Writing Guide," the NLRB advises that "disability" should be used instead of the word "handicap," and that the words "deficit," "defect," "abnormality," "problem," and "normal," should not be used. U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)'s San Francisco District Appoints U.C. San Diego Alumni As Director

On 1/13/25, the  U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) a ppointed  Christopher Green as  director of the agency’s San Francisco District.  Green previously worked  as a director in the agency’s Albuquerque and San Diego local offices.
