Ninth Circuit Denies Motion to Overturn or Pause District Judge's Order to Rehire Federal Workers
On March 26, 2025, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals denied an emergency motion filed by the Trump Administration to pause the order from U.S. District Judge William Alsup requiring the rehiring of thousands of federal workers who were separated from employment as part of the Trump Administration's bid to downsize the federal workforce after the DOGE recommending firing more than 200,000 federal workers. The Trump Administration has also appealed Judge Alsup's Order to the U.S. Supreme Court.
